Before starting up a new EBA or joining an existing one, you might want to explore InsectsCount by selecting Europe as recording region.
When selecting Europe as region in the settings, you can only count insects at group level, not at species level: that would leave you struggling with an endless list of species. Moreover, it is not always necessary to record at species level. To get a good impression of how abundant insects are in different parts of the landscape (even your own garden), counting at species group level is quite a good option.
